At 6:02 pm, the department was dispatched to a building investigation on Oak Creek Dr. Ladder 51, Engine 51, Squad 51, and Deputy 51 responded. The occupants reported a burning smell in the basement and their fire alarms activated. Crews investigated and found burnt smoke detectors in the basement. The occupants were given new smoke detectors and all were made available thirty minutes later.
