At 8:23 pm, the department was dispatched for a fire investigation at the Hampton Inn. Squad 51, Ladder 51, Tower 51, Special Service 51, Captain 51-2, and Fire Police responded. Reports stated there was an odor of smoke on the fourth floor. Crews arrived and investigated. The cause of the smell was unfounded and all were made available about forty-five minutes later.
