The department was dispatched at 5 pm on September 11 for a vehicle accident on Mine Run Rd. A few minutes later, the accident was upgraded to a vehicle rescue upon reports of the driver being unable to get out of the vehicle after crashing into a tree and telephone pole. Lower Frederick, Station 52, was dispatched to assist. Rescue 51, Battalion 51, and Fire Police responded. Crews extricated the driver after removing the driver's side door. Fire Police temporarily shut down Mine Run Rd at Hockel and Game Farm Rd. While operating at the vehicle rescue, the department and surrounding mutual aid companies were dispatched for a building fire at the YMCA on Linfield-Trappe Rd. Mine Run Rd crews were available forty-five minutes after the initial dispatch. YMCA crews were available around 6:30 PM.
