The Limerick Fire Department was created effective 01/01/2019 with the merger of Limerick Fire Company and Linfield Fire Company. Merger discussions were initiated in 2016 and came to fruition 12/03/2018 effective 01/01/2019.
The merger steering committee was made up of the Fire Chief from each company, the President of each company, and the Treasurer of each company.
They were:
Ken Shuler – Fire Chief, Limerick F.C. Denny Rumler, Fire Chief, Linfield F.C.
Tom Walters – President, Limerick F.C, Rich Flynn – President, Linfield F.C.
Don Andes – Treasurer, Limerick F.C. Billy Rumler – Treasurer, Linfield F.C.
Various subcommittees were appointed for by-laws, finance, rebranding, inventory, etc. The steering committee made the appointments for administrative officers and Board of Directors for the first two (2) years (2019 & 2020) and fire officers (fire chief, chief engineer, and fire police captain) for the first three (3) years (2019 thru 2021) of the new Limerick Fire Department.
The fire officers for Limerick Fire Department are:

• Fire Police Captain – Mike Machion
