Monday nights training consisted of large area search, RIT pack review and fast board extrication review. With the bays emptied of vehicles, obstacles were set up around the area to simulate a warehouse search. Firefighter teamed up to conduct right and left hand searches until they located a "victim". Communicate between the FF and utilizing the radios was essential for effective search and rescue. Masks were covered to simulate the potential smoky conditions. As the large area search was the primary training, crews also took the opportunity to familiarize themselves and review RIT packs and fast board extrication. Thank you to some of LFD officers for leading the training.
