For Monday night training on September 9th, Limerick crews headed to the former Whiskey Girl Saloon on Ridge Pike. Crews did a rolling drill starting as a fire alarm and then upgrading it to a building fire response once on location. The firefighters and juniors were given different assignments and scenarios that consisted of searching for and rescuing victims, fire suppression, and ground ladder placement. Throughout the simulation, command and crews interacted via radio for assignments and communication of actions. Some personnel also learned how to fill air cylinders utilizing Special Service 51. Firefighters put these critical skills into practice, taking turns going through each scenario and treating it as if it were a real incident.
