On Saturday October 19, the Limerick Fire Department hosted the Montgomery County foam task force training drill. Attendees reviewed the Task Force trailers and equipment before starting the drills. The first scenario consisted of establishing a water supply and connecting and using a hand line off of the foam trailer onto a simulated plane crash. Participants practiced rolling in foam, raining down foam and banking foam applications. A second drill consisted of using the monitor nozzle from the foam trailer onto a tractor trailer fire using the same application methods. Individuals from the Montgomery County HAZMAT team, Norriton Fire Company, and Limerick Fire Department participated. A special thank to Auto Rescue for loaning the plane and truck for the training.
