At 2:49 pm on June 17, the department was dispatched to a reported vehicle rescue after an accident at the Limerick Crossing Shopping Center on Ridge Pike. One occupant was reported to be trapped in her vehicle. Rescue 51, Squad 51, Deputy 51, Trappe Engine 77, and Fire Police from 51 and 77 responded, as well as EMS and Limerick Police units. Fortunately, the driver reported to be trapped was able to self-extricate from the vehicle before being transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Engine 77 was made available, and Limerick crews secured both involved vehicles and cleared debris and fluids from the road. Fire police directed traffic. All cleared the intersection and were made available within 45 minutes. |
