Last week, on June 27, several of our members attended a "Night in the Life" training at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus, hosted by Perkiomen Fire Company. Yeadon Fire Company was also invited and attended. Crews were stationed at a firehouse on the campus and then were "dispatched" to a range of different assignments and calls, including a grill fire, a cargo container fire, a vehicle rescue with entrapment, a trash fire, a reported dryer fire, and a couple of building fire scenarios, and a few others. Crews maintained their readiness while stationed and responded to calls, performing various tasks and using different tactics to tackle the challenges of each scenario. The training event lasted from approximately 6:30 PM until nearly midnight.
