| At 2:43 pm on June 2, the department responded to a single-vehicle accident on Swamp Pike and Village Way. It was reported that one vehicle went off the roadway after the driver had a possible medical emergency while driving. The vehicle landed in the embankment, upside down. Rescue 51, Battalion 51, 51 Fire Police, Limerick Police, and Freedom Valley EMS responded. Together, the Limerick crews and EMTs safely moved the patient from the embankment to the ambulance. A passenger in the vehicle was uninjured. Superior Towing arrived, and Swamp Pike was closed for about an hour and a half until the vehicle was removed.
Thank you to the Good Samaritans who stopped to assist the driver and passenger before first responders arrived! |
