| September 24: Dispatch went out at 5:35 pm for a reported unattached garage fire on Neiffer Rd, Limerick Township. One minute later, Deputy 51 reported a header from a half mile out. Upon arrival, Deputy 51 assumed command and stated that it was a three-car garage, well off, with minimal exposure to the residence. The first-in engine immediately deployed hoses and put water on the fire.
As soon as there was a good knock on the fire, firefighters began pulling out sizable pieces of debris to hit the remaining hotspots. Fire Marshals were called to the scene to investigate. There were no reported injuries to personnel or property owners, and the fire was contained to the garage.
Crews remained on scene for approximately three hours before being made available. Fire police closed Neiffer Rd between Swamp Pike and Oak Creek Dr for the duration of the incident. Thank you to all of our mutual aid companies!
